I was at the dispensary the other day when my budtender told me they had gotten these new gummies in. “They’re a little weird, but apparently super good.” The main reason I ended up grabbing them was because they were on sale, and brought them home to try.
The Product
Candaze Dips have to be some of the most creative edibles I’ve seen in a minute. I got the peanut butter and jelly flavor, which consists of a bottom layer grape flavored gummy and a top layer of peanut butter. It sounds equal parts concerning and gimmicky, which admittedly had me a little worried about the execution. They come in packs of ten, with 10mg of THC per piece.
The Terps
The strain of rosin used in these gummies was Lemon Drop. Lemon Drop features myrcene as the dominant terpene, with caryophyllene and pinene close behind.
The Process
I took 4 gummies and made a note of the time (3:15 pm) so I could accurately gauge how long they took to hit. They took about three and a half hours, with me feeling the onset just past 6:45 pm.
The Thoughts
I was almost offended by how much I enjoyed these edibles. The textures shouldn’t have worked together but they did so well. There was 0 cannabis taste, both within the gummies themselves and in the aftertaste, which is always a bonus. The high came in waves and peaked about an hour post-hit. I was a bit more couch-locked than I would like to be from a strain listed as a sativa, but the myrcene and caryophyllene content didn’t give me much choice there.
The Rating
Overall, I would give this product 4 stars. I love that they listed the strain used clearly on the back of the packaging, making it easy for consumers to look into what it is they’re consuming. I do wish the strain itself hadn’t been advertised as a sativa, as most consumers read sativa and think wakey-wakey time, but there isn’t much to be done while that’s still the industry standard. The flavors are good, the product itself is unique and unexpected, and the high was generally pleasant

As always, all opinions are my own, and as of right now, I have no affiliation with any brands, dispensaries, or growers.
