Happy Thursday!
Here’s the highlights
California Governer Gavin Newsom banned hemp-derived THC from the state, citing children’s safety. Wyld has already removed them from the list of states they can ship to online.
My fave research group, the Network of Applied Neurocognosy, just put out a blog post abt their ongoing studies on CBG. If you have trouble with anxiety or sleep this might be one to check out
Megalopolis comes out this week. Being so chill about that.
I won a free rolling tray from clearing a gram bowl from a 3ft bong :3
Now, onto the content.
The other day I swung by the dispo my friend works at to pick up a little treat. I wasn’t sure what the little treat would be but I knew my buddy wouldn’t steer me wrong. Some gorgeous live rosin spoke to me, and I wanted to share it with you all.
The Product
RVRS’s Powdered Donuts live rosin is an incredibly wet, pretty, candy-smelling product. Like I was actually blown away by how visually stunning she was just in the jar. She smells a little like cleaning products with a louder, hi-chew adjacent aroma, and the flavor is all hi-chew (I cannot decide if it’s strawberry or grapefruit hi-chew, definitely one of those).
The Process
I loaded up a dab that was about double the recommended serving size by Colorado state law (in my defense that serving size is a joke) in my Puffco 3DXL chamber as a dry hit (for ppl who don’t dab like that—no water in the glass, would not recommend if you’re using an analog rig or high-temp) at 475º to maximize flavor potency.
The Thoughts
Again, this tastes amazing. I’m kind of obsessed with how sweet and candy-like it is. Along with that, the color is stunning and she is visibly very moist. The only downside is the terpenes tend to lose their integrity at a lower temperature than most growers I buy from.
The Rating
After taking into account the fact that I can’t really dab this at higher than 515º and still appreciate the flavor, I’m rating this at 3.5 stars. So so good, I just wish the flavor was preserved a little better through higher temps.
