Before I go any further: despite repeatedly emailing, I have not gotten a response re: the terpene profile, so I will be unable to provide the specifics there. That said, I can provide a solid idea of flavor and aroma which should suffice for baseline effects, as most similar smelling/tasting terps have similar effects to each other.
The Product
Purple Froot is one of Green Dot Labs’s many black label strains. Aptly named, the bud is a mosaic of vivid purples and deep greens, and is so frosty that it left substantial kief residue on my fingers. There’s a berry-rich aroma as soon as you open the container, which gives way to gassy base notes.
The Process
I packed an entire bowl, a little over half a gram, and set out to my patio to casually smoke until it took effect.
The Thoughts
The flavor, much like with everything else Green Dot has put out, is out of this world. Super heavy grape notes with a barely detectable gassy undercurrent. The smoke was thick and velvety and lingered in the air until the breeze came in.
After a little under half the bowl, I was disoriented and struggling to spell or even just to speak. This is a super heavy hitter and the high sneaks up on you like nothing else. I would absolutely not recommend this strain to anyone with a normal-to-low tolerance. If your tolerance is low but you still want the flavor, it mixes beautifully with rose and hibiscus petals to create a very refreshing late-afternoon high.
The effects were calming but not quite sedating. A much, much lower dose than my initial one could be helpful for anxiety, and adding in just the tiniest amount of lavender would make it good for sleep.
The Rating
3.5 stars. The balance between pleasantly high and too high is difficult to maintain, but the high is so, so nice as long as you can keep the balance.
